I agree with Masi. I'm Caucasian, but I am so tired of Asians being branded as freakishly smart by jealous Americans. I do believe that many Asians are hardworking, admirable individuals, and many lazy Americans have created this stereotype of Asians having super-human intelligence. The bottom line is that I, like Masi, would rather have people expect little of me so that I can wow them. Race does not make a person; their lifestyle and personal expectations mold them into the people that they will become for the rest of their lives. (And don't worry, Masi...I'm pretty terrible at driving, myself. ;-)

I'm an Asian, but at the risk of insulting myself, I don't think that Asians are smarter. I think they are generally just more hardworking. Sometimes overly so, in my opinion. And I think that here in Asia, results from hard work too often gets mistreated as a sign of intelligence.
