Ivanka Trump on entitlement

Ivanka TrumpIvanka Trump says of her childhood, “Beyond my education and being able to travel, it was never about possessions.

"My brothers and I always felt uncomfortable asking for things we didn't work for. My grandfather used to work on his construction site and he'd have these dollar coins and he'd ask if we wanted them. We'd say yes, and he'd say, ‘Well, go do something.’

“Then, if he deemed it worthy, we'd get the money. That was the mentality we were always exposed to. I'd say that, of the rich kids I know, 50 per cent are like that and 50 per cent have this sense of entitlement that I find disgusting.”

Ivanka Trump, 24, has a degree from the Wharton School of Finance, and is vice president of real-estate development for the Trump organisation.
