I think this is certainly true. Personality has a lot to do with success. If you’re both passionate about something and persistant, you will get ahead. And it’s the passion that shows up in your work, which is what makes it so attractive to people. Passionate work is genuine, it’s the real thing, it’s truth.

I would add….often in creative biz (like other businesses) it’s often not what you know, but whom you know! I suppose a good publicist would help – Mozart’s dad knew that!
