I have always believed that, apart from a few notable &quot;anomalies&quot;, most of what people consider to be talent is actually acquired skill. People get good at what they love, and what they are praised for. Social and economic factors enter into the mix and these are the seeds of desire. Love of the subject plus the desire to excel often develop into talent.
