Anyone who's been exposed to even a small amount of traditional spiritual teachings, particularly from the East, has heard all the ways that the human ego gets debased and despised. To most, the ego is a selfish, materialistic, stingy, controlling monster that must be at least controlled and at best destroyed. This is ignorance and a lack of understanding of something that will never be actualized.

Inspirational quotes don't inspire... Inspiration and motivation comes from within. The word inspiration includes the Latin spiritus literally meaning to be "in spirit" or "filled with spirit." When we are inspired, we are catapulted into a sense of heightened awareness -- the world and opportunities expand exponentially around us.

My studies of the highly successful prove that they continually achieve their results by doing "certain things in a certain way." I have also found that "like causes produce like effects."

Let's put to rest the fallacy that success, in sales or any profession, is due to luck, chance, and/or hard work. There is nothing further from the truth. Think about it, you and I both know people who work incredibly hard, putting in long hours, they may even have two jobs, but they are not consistently (if ever) successful.

Motivational Speakers don't motivate... Motivation comes from within and no one can do it to you or for you. What motivational speakers can potentially provide is the impetus to move you into action. And action (as always) is the key.

Turnover. Lackluster productivity. Apathy. These are the bane of corporate life. Savvy executives know they have to light a fire under employees to fight such enemies of success. But how about another tactic: Light a fire in your people, and stop thinking of them solely as employees. Instead, teach them to adopt the outlook, manner, and drive of entrepreneurs.
