Now, as I sit watching the exquisite sunrise over the Blue Ridge Mountains, that day in Greensboro [when I was close to suicide] seems to be from a different person’s life—and in many ways it is. I am no longer that confused, scared, lonely young man. And today I can truthfully say my life is filled with purpose and meaning.

"Clarifying your life purpose is a team effort between the rational mind and the intuitive mind." -- From article Top 10 Benefits to Knowing and Living Your Life Purpose, by W. Bradford Swift.

I recently had a coaching session with a client who's been a bit stuck in his life, even though he's become clear on his life purpose. ... He even knows what the project could be but he keeps stopping himself because he can't figure out how to make the project profitable or practical. For me, considering these two 'Ps' too early in the creative process is the kiss of death.

Clarifying your life purpose is a team effort between the rational mind and the intuitive mind. The following exercise is an effective way to combine these two powerful resources to help you move forward along the pathway of a "life on purpose."

"Fundamentally, people find that simplicity is taking control and through simplicity you enrich your life. It's hard not to come to that conclusion." Unfortunately, according to the Yearning for Balance study, although Americans realize something must be done, many are "waiting for somebody else to act first: their neighbors, big corporations, or the government."

Whether you consider yourself a highly creative person or not, it is possible for all of us to be more creative if we'll take the time to nurture that part of ourselves. These simple steps will give you direction in how to bring more of your creativity to the surface and to optimize your intuitive powers at the same time.

I'd been too busy working 50-60 hours a week at my veterinary practice so I could pay the mortgage on the house, not to mention keeping two car payments up, and the three credit cards paid down. Like Alice [in Through the Looking-Glass], I realized something was wrong with this picture. I was running as fast as I could just to keep up.

When I'm living true to my life purpose -- when I'm experiencing a life of purposeful, passionate and playful service, when I'm in touch mindfully with the abundant universe in which I live and I balance that with simplicity, and when I'm truly experiencing spiritual serenity -- then I'm 'in the zone.'
