What will be your Life Monument?
by
Mike Litman
Napoleon
Hill, Harry Potter, and You
Napoleon Hill was an amazing author.
I'm a huge fan of his work; everyone should own a copy of 'Think and
Grow Rich'.
Over the last few weeks I've been listening to some of his old speeches
and recordings and I've received great insights that have helped me.
It got me thinking. Follow me here. You in? Let's go.
I was listening to recordings that were done 50 or so years ago.
I was re-reading Think and Grow Rich, the book which was originally
written in 1937. Napoleon Hill passed away in 1970.
Napoleon Hill passed away almost 27 years ago and he's changing my life
right now.
Incredible.
Put on your Nike's and let's run over here.
Let's talk about J.K. Rowling. Do you know who she is?
Yes, she was the divorced, single mom, who authored the series Harry
Potter.
Do you think in 100 years from today, that young kids and adults will
still be reading Harry Potter?
I do.
"Mike, this is interesting, what's your point here?"
Napoleon Hill and J.K. Rowling have built a LIFE MONUMENT.
They've built something that will SERVE OTHERS (inspire, entertain) for
decades, centuries.
Their life has been one of SERVICE and with service comes riches and
fulfillment.
What will be your LIFE MONUMENT?
What will you CONTRIBUTE to the world?
How can you serve the world and leave it a better place than when you
were born?
GREATNESS is about service.
The greats throughout the ages were the greatest servants. They were
the greatest problem solvers.
They solved problems for thousands, millions.
The world rarely remembers self centered individuals.
Tap into your magnificent obsession. Something you enjoy doing.
Get out of yourself and start planting your magnificent obsession into
others' lives.
Ask yourself:
How can I serve?
Through service comes success.
When you look back at your life, what will be your LIFE MONUMENT?
Think about it.
Your Coach,
Mike

217 Years and Counting - A Life
Monument Story
What a LIFE he lived!
Earlier this morning I was organizing one of my bookshelves and picked
up a classic book that I hadn't read in while.
The book isn't the easiest to read because of the 'old English' of 200
+ years ago, but the WISDOM in this book is mind boggling.
"Mike, what's the name of the book?"
Patience, patience, patience. We'll get to it in a second.
What the individual achieved in his life is legendary and I want to
share with you in a moment, one of his strategies for successful living.
This is a guy who unleashed his greatness. No doubt about that.
In ONE life, this is what he did.
He was a leading author, politician, printer, scientist, philosopher,
publisher, inventor, civic activist, and diplomat.
He died in 1790 and we still talk about him today. New books are being
written about him all the time.
"Mike, I want to know NOW. Who are you talking about?"
I'm talking about the GREAT Benjamin
Franklin.
He left us with one incredible LIFE MONUMENT.
One piece of that monument is his classic book 'The Autobiography of
Benjamin Franklin' written in the 1700's.
I want to share with you one of Benjamin Franklin's success habits
because it's powerful.
Remember, fulfillment in life comes from contribution.
GREATNESS is about service.
>From Ben's book:
Every morning he would ask himself this question when he woke up.
"What Good shall I do this day?"
He has an evening question:
"What Good have I done today?"
Any reason why he lived a full life and built an extraordinary LIFE
MONUMENT.
His focus was on contribution and with more contribution came greater
riches and personal fulfillment.
How about you trying for 48 hours Ben's morning and evening question.
Do you think it would help you?
There's a LIFE MONUMENT sitting inside your heart. A monument you were
BORN to produce and share.
Create such a LIFE that when your time is up a huge VOID is felt.
Every successful entrepreneur will tell you the more people they SERVE,
the richer they become. (Look at Apple CEO Steve Jobs if you want a
present day example.)
The world is waiting for you to identify, build, and share your LIFE
Monument.
When do you think the best time to start is?
Your Coach,
Mike
P.S. Benjamin Franklin, Steve Jobs, Tiger Woods, Oprah Winfrey, they've
all built extraordinary life monuments. I plan on helping thousands of
people identify, build, and profit from their life monuments.
