Promoting awareness about childhood sensitivity

Jenna Forrest“Like many sensitive, anxious elementary school kids, I was overwhelmed with my day to day life.

“I thought my sensory overload, deep empathy and social shyness meant there was something wrong with me. At the same time, I felt a strong sense of these traits being very important to my future.” Jenna Forrest

On April 23rd, the new edition of Jenna Forrest’s memoir Help Is On Its Way was officially released.

1 Response to Promoting awareness about childhood sensitivity

  1. Margaret

I have just collected my 7 year old granddaughter from school. She has a speech defect that she is terribly sensitive about and also eczema. Today she was very quiet but admitted she was being teased. Fortunately the teacher is well aware and comes down hard if she spots it.
If another child is hurt or upset, my granddaughter is the first to offer comfort. I feel it is a pity that her sensitive nature is being used to make her feel bad.
