I have just collected my 7 year old granddaughter from school. She has a speech defect that she is terribly sensitive about and also eczema. Today she was very quiet but admitted she was being teased. Fortunately the teacher is well aware and comes down hard if she spots it.
If another child is hurt or upset, my granddaughter is the first to offer comfort. I feel it is a pity that her sensitive nature is being used to make her feel bad.
